The operating system is version 4.0. There are 3 monchrome workstations, which pretty much work ok, and 1 color workstation, which crashes constantly when running X. It has been observed to crash when running a number of clients, including xsetroot, emacs, and almost anything else you care to name. I'm not sure, but I don't think it has crashed running a bare xterm. When a crash occurs, there are no error messages. The server just dies, and you are back in a non-X state. Any ideas? Has anyone else run X on a color sun under 4.0? Fred Sullivan SUNY at Binghamton Dept. Math. Sciences Binghamton, NY 13903 sullivan@marge.math.binghamton.edu First you make a roux!
