   Where is gnus 3.8? I'd like to get a copy and try it out, but I have yet
   to find an ftp site that has it. All the standard GNU distribution centers
   I've looked at don't seem to carry it...

GNUS 3.8 was posted to comp.emacs newsgroup a few weeks ago. If you
cannot find it there, drop me a request. I'll send it to you.
