Deja vu!  I've been looking at garbage like this for several weeks now, trying
to figure out how my sister-in-law can send me mail from her VAX/VMS.
Apparently, VMS MAIL treats everything between "'s as some sort of special
case.  On top of that, we recently started communicating with an OEM of ours,
a Schlumberger subsiduary in Norway, via email.  The path, from a VMS system,
is through ...ta da... sdr.slb.com.  Guess how long that connection took to
figure out!
