I keep getting huge numbers of files named '.in*' popping up in /usr/spool/news. They contain the text, sans header, of news articles. I just had to move all the directories out of /usr/spool/news (as root, by playing with directory links) and rm-r it because it was 56K. The *directory* was 56K! I also keep getting /tmp/L files hanging around. My history file keeps disappearing. I presume these are all related. I suspect that somewhere in the news system there is some software that says "64K segments, Xenix, I think I'll crash", leaving all this junk floating around. Anyone have any idea where I should look?
