Sure.  If a new newsgroup is created, you don't need to create the belonging
directory yourself.  If you delete a newsdirectory, the news software will re-
create it if necessary.

I almost never clean up this directory; it is large, it keeps on going being
large; however, if the size grows above 30000, I think (on sys5), find(1) will
complain: "Huge directory --call administrator", but then I will clean it up.
"We junk a lot.  That's why our sys file is fairly large, and our disk is
fairly 'sizeful'."
