I cannot tell you what these are, since this would allow people to break into your system. GET RID OF ALL THESE FILES! Delete your kernel too; it's probably in /unix or /vmunix or some similarly-named file. If possible, just shut your system down, or at least disable all logins. Switch to VAX/VMS if necessary (but keep it in stand-alone mode, you never know what users might do if you let them log in). Sorry, I just cannot afford to explain further since this would seriously compromise the security of every UNIX system anywhere. Nor am I willing to give any answers by email, since I can't be sure that you aren't just a nasty intruder trying to get into my system. P.S. This is a joke. Actually, not a joke, it's too pathetic to be funny. It's a little satire on these constantly-appearing suggestions that are so vague as to be meaningless. Not directed at any one person. -- Rahul Dhesi UUCP: !{iuvax,pur-ee}!bsu-cs!dhesi
