     The only sure way of eliminating this problem is to unplug the 
darn thing.We've lost many a 1489 and 1488 (receiver and transmitter chips)
due to lightning,even with mov's on the lineJust put 'em in sockets,it 
makes for a quick repair when they get hit the next time.
