I don't need really general abilities, just to be able to patch the occasional byte in LARGE (up to 10MB) files, and to search for occurrences of given strings on bytes. I have but can no longer use the Norton stuff, because I've recently gone to a Novell file server setup, and I've been forced to give up a lot of my DOS goodies that deal directly with the disk structures. This editor would therefore have to be well-behaved in its I/O in order to run on the Novell filesystem. Thanks... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ George Lehmann, ...!uunet!apctrc!zgel05 Amoco Production Co., PO BOX 3385, Tulsa, Ok 74102 ph:918-660-4066 Standard Disclaimer: Contents are my responsibility, not AMOCO's.
