BEWARE: QVT ZAPPED MY HARD DISK ??!! Message-ID: <3191@mtuxo.att.com> Date: 26 Oct 88 16:05:20 GMT References: <4471@bsu-cs.UUCP> Organization: AT&T, Middletown NJ Lines: 13 I tried to download and run qvt on my AT&T 6300. The next thing I knew, the PC wouldn't boot from the c: drive. All the files in my home directory were erased! All the subdirectories and files were OK but most of the system files in c:/ were gone. Even Norton Utilities couldn't recover the data. Anyone is welcome to tell me wht I did wrong, in which case I apologize for this posting, but I believe I was following directions properly. I'm certainly not going to try it again. Herb Cohen ...!mtuxo!herb
