Yes, this was the original and beautiful idea of SIMULA, but for some reason it never made it to later languages. To quote Bertrand Meyer, in his recent book "Object-Oriented Software Construction": "Tony Hoare's remark about Algol 60 - that it was such an improvement over most of its successors - applies to Simula as well."
