   If you have real questions about scheme, comp.lang.scheme is 
   a good place to ask them - this newsgroup is more or less defunct,
   dying because the other scheme newsgroup handles the traffic
   very nicely.

I beg to differ!  info-cscheme is alive and well; it's exactly the
right place to talk about C Scheme.  The Scheme list
(comp.lang.scheme) is intended for discussion of Scheme in general,
not particular implementations of it.
