i am trying to gather information about tcp-ip. i have to devise a method
to allow file transfer and shared database between ibm 3081, 2 tandem computers
possibly a vax (vms) and local area networks.
i have heard about tcp-ip and it sounds like it may be just what the dr. 
ordered, but i don't know anything about how it works, what is involved in
setting a network etc.
i would appreciate any information, direction etc.
