Does (did) AmigaDOS1.1 have trouble dealing with more than 2 floppy drives? This is a serious question. "Why?" Last weekend I had the need to run the Microbotics RAM test program on my Starboard2. The docs specifically require the use of 1.1, and suggest using the supplied 'minimally configured' Workbench disk. I hadn't used the diags since long before I added a second external drive to my vintage A1000. Imagine my surprise when the machine GURUed just as the test program began to load. Removing ONE of the external drives (makes no difference which one...) will allow the test to run to completion. The GURU is the same every single time - and I have seen it occaisionally in other unrelated situations - 8700000B.265f48F1. Opinions? The task address seems ridiculous. Maybe it's not a DOS problem, but trouble with the Microbotics disgnostics? Maybe the power supply is getting ready to give up? But regular, everyday operation seems fine... Anybody with similar hardware wanna try it? Since this isn't exactly of general interest to the net, an email reply might be best. In any event, thanks for your time!
