We found a layout problem on that board that was causing intermittent problems on some 2000s when a math chip was installed. The solution was to re-route that particular trace on the other side of the board, away from some other traces. The revision 4 boards are what we're currently shipping for the 500. It has some extra circuitry to handle the differences in the 500s expansion buss and internal architecture. If you are having seating problems on a 500, look on the underside of the board and see if maybe there is a lead or two that stick down too far. If one corner of the board is held up too high, you could see that symptom. You might also check to see that that electrolytic cap over by Agnus is laying over enough to give clearance. Give me (or Lilliann) a call if you still have problems. (BTW, I didn't realize it made that much of a difference with Marauder II colors. Maybe I'll have to give that as a speedup example! :) :) ) : Shawn Clabough : 24847843@WSUVM1.BITNET : Washington State University -- -Bill Seymour ...tektronix!reed!percival!agora!billsey ...tektronix!sequent!blowpig!billsey Creative Microsystems Northwest Amiga Group At Home Sometimes (503) 684-9300 (503) 656-7393 BBS (503) 640-0842
