[other stuff on modem applications deleted] * A modem really would open up a great frontier for you, but do yourself a favor and spend $150 for a 2400 baud modem. Back to the point in question. I run a HP9000 series 320 with HP-UX 6.x, and have modified the ``mtools'' package (comp.sources.unix Vol_11 ) to use HP9122 3.5" drives. On the Amiga end, I use PcCopy/PcFormat (from the 1.2 Extras disk) and pcPatch (a program that patches PcCopy/PcFormat to use the Amiga's 3.5" drives). The only problem that exists (I feel) is the inability to read/write 720k MS-DOG disks (limited to 360k). I would be glad to send off the ``mtools'' cdiffs for the mod to use 3.5 inchers by mail request. Always glad to help, Randy -- _______________________________________________________________ < Randy O'Meara -- LMSC -- SCF > < EMAIL: {pyramid, leadsv}!oetl!randy PHONE: (408) 425-6249 > <_______________________________________________________________>
