Message-ID: <10237@cup.portal.com> Date: 20 Oct 88 06:38:55 GMT Organization: The Portal System (TM) Lines: 12 I'm interested in using my A1000 in a component video post-production setting, to do this I'll need to genlock, but GENLOCK ONLY. It seems that all(?) the genlocks currently on the market offer other features (bckgrnd 0 substitution, dissolves, etc.) that I don't need (it'll be connected to a GVG component video switcher). Are there genlocks only products out there? Which ones? In terms of rolling my own, I figure this (genlock only) should be a rather simple project, specially since C=A advertises this feature. Hopefully, I would just need to hook up a reference video signal and system software checks for this external signal on bootup (warm boot too?). The RKM's seem to lack detail in regards to this feature. Could someone (Geo. Robbins/ other CATS?) enlighten me on this matter? Thanx! - MJB -
