I haven't used AppleLink yet, but I'm considering trying it out.  GEnie is one
of those services that I'm afraid to use because I figure I'll use up too much
time trying to learn it, but that desktop-type environment that AppleLink is
supposed to have appeals to me because of how fast it could be to use it. 
What did you think of that part of it, Sue?
