The are a lot of SYSEX id's not yet assigned (confer Intl MIDI Assoc. data). This would serve to encapsulate the communications in an isolated pseude channel, where the contents of the SYSEX block is *entirely* up to the network community to decide upon; the only restriction being that only 7-bit data is allowed within the block...
