[Discussion of Windows locking up with TOPS networking deleted]

Windows 2.03, Windows/386, Windows/286, etc. (i.e. all windows in the 2.0 and
later generation) LOCK UP if there is an EMS driver which does not conform to
LIM 4.0. The symtom is that the title screen comes up, and then nothing
further happens. I have seen this on my Zenith 386 (Zenith has an EMS driver
for a spare 256K they leave unused -- LIM 3.2) ATs with older EMS boards,
etc. The only EMS boards I know of that don't do this is AST EEMS boards with
LIM 4.0 drivers.

I figured Microsoft might fix this problem with the 2.1 releases, but that
didn't happen.
