How do I find out where the first available memory block is and how long is it (contiguous)? I know that transient portion of COMMAND.COM is loaded at the top of 640k, but how can I tell how much it used - another words, what is the last available memory address/block? Also, where is DOS's stack while it is running? I remember seeing most of this information is some older DOS manuals, but I can't find anything useful in either DOS 3.x USER MANUAL or TECHNICAL REFERENCE. Thanks for any pointers. misha --- NAME: Michael Umansky; {amdahl|decwrl|hplabs|pyramid|sun}!nsc!misha WORK: National Semi; 2925 Copper Road; MS/7C266; Santa Clara, CA 95051 HOME: 4331 Lincoln Way; San Francisco, CA 94122 PHONE: (408) 721-8109 (work); (415) 564-3921 (home) -- NAME: Michael Umansky; {amdahl|decwrl|hplabs|pyramid|sun}!nsc!misha WORK: National Semi; 2925 Copper Road; MS/7C266; Santa Clara, CA 95051 HOME: 4331 Lincoln Way; San Francisco, CA 94122 PHONE: (408) 721-8109 (work); (415) 564-3921 (home)
