Keywords: Coco Message-ID: <7360@ihlpl.ATT.COM> Date: 24 Oct 88 19:19:12 GMT Organization: AT&T Bell Laboratories - Naperville, Illinois Lines: 18 Last nite I heard on Delphi that Intertan, Inc., Tandy's international marketing subsidiary, has decided to discontinue Cocos in Canada. Aside from its ominous portents for the US, this is a real slap in the face of the folks who have contributed so much hardware and software to the Coco and OS9. I had got the impression that MSDOS hadn't conquered our northern neighbors quite as thoroughly as the US. I expect Canadians who know what they want can still mail-order Cocos from US dealers (at cheaper than RadShack prices anyway), but new Canadian Coconuts will have to be recruited by word-of-mouth, since they'll never see one in a store. What is a Canadian Radio Shack store like, anyway? Can someone who's seen both countries' give us a description? -- Mike Knudsen Bell Labs(AT&T) att!ihlpl!knudsen "Lawyers are like handguns and nuclear bombs.
