Is the dras- tice version number change reflective of vast modifications, or was it just meant to "catch up" to the version numbers of the System and Finder? 2) I bought a serial switchbox which has 3 mini-DIN 8 female connectors, labeled A, B, and input-output. All I want to do is share my Imagewriter II between my Apple //e (equipped with Super Serial Card + cable) and my Mac II (with cable). Now both of these cables work fine when hooked up from computer to printer, but when I use the same type of cable to hook up the switchbox to printer, it doesn't work. Do I need a "straight- through" Mini-din 8 male to Mini-din 8 cable from switchbox to printer? It seems like my "normal" computer to printer cables have certain in- active pins which might be required by the switchbox. Am I right? If so, where can I get such a cable cheap? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please reply via e-mail; I just don't have enough time to go thru the entire newsgroup.
