Lines: 23 I had a diskette go bad, so to restore as much as possible, I used MacTools to mount the disk and then I undeleted the files. I think I got everything, but ran into a problem when I had to put in the type and creator for the files using ResEdit (1.2d1). Putting in the Creator was easy, but for some reason, for some of the files, no matter what I enter for the type, it is not saved. Other files take the new type thankfully, and after setting the Inited bit, I can open it normally and see that indeed none of my data is lost. So, why would ResEdit refuse to change the type for some files? I tried various combinations for the type, but to no avail. BTW, the type I want is 'RSGK' and the creator is 'MRSN', if that matters.
