(P.S., if this was discussed recently, please someone send me a summary). Dan Lau, Intel Corp. (...!decwrl!intelca!danl) I am looking for information on the Mac floppy disk format and 3.5 inch drives. I need specific information on: - how GCR works and how the drives works. - what is the width of the data window. - what are the five different speeds and data rates for the different groups of tracks. - how are sectors linked into files. The published material tells me how many tracks and sectors per track, but that is all I can find. Is this stuff published anywhere. Thanks.
