I am working on an x-windows application (using X11R2) and have difficulties trying to use the toolkit routines with the rest of my existing X-Lib program. For example, if I create a text widget how do I get the system to process it's events. (Creating the text widget in itself does bring up the window but the capability for editing text just isn't there.) Also, is it possible to have multiple processes running under XWindows, and if so, is it a good idea, and what problems might one encounter? One final question: Is it a good idea to build menus using the X-Toolkit routines (i.e., spring loaded widgets), and how is this done? (The X-Toolkit documentation suffers greatly) Steve Uranick (University of Ottawa) steveu@csi2.uofo.edu
