I often would like to keep data in off screen bitmaps/off screen pixmaps
because refreshing from off screen resources on the server is significantly
faster than refreshing from data on the client. On the other hand,
I don't want to run the server out of memory unnecessarily. Is there
any way to get the server to send "Help--I'm running out of XYZ" messages,
where XYZ is some resource?
