I can't duplicate the circumstances, but it happens once or twice a day that emacs will suspend after a dead pause. When I reenter, it knows something is wrong, so it asks me if I want to auto-save and whether I want to dump core. Other clues are that it seems often to happen when I try to access another file with ^X ^F. Is this a known bug? Could it be that I am accidentally invoking some sort of destruct sequence. ? -------
