There's been discussion recently in gnu.gcc.bug about (lack of)
optimizations on "for" loops.  In general, these don't seem like bugs
to me, so I'm not sure where to post messages of the form "gee, I
notice that gcc doesn't do <apparantly good thing>.  Having lookend
in PROJECTS and determined that <apparantly good thing> isn't in
there, where to send mail?

(latest idea: in f(){ static int i; for (i=0;i<N;++i); }, i should
be loaded into a register unless -traditional is specified.).
