I don't mean this as a flippant proposal.  Would it not be
a good idea to _have_ a group called news.net-politics or
something similar?  It would free news.admin of all the
clutter of which there has been so much complaining, and
would allow those who don't consider such discussion clutter
to have their own forum.

I won't collect votes, but I suggest a discussion on the
topic.
