We have 2.10 here, and I have the 2.11 source. I have tried doing an install, but basically I don't know if it succeded. I was under the impression that 2.10 lived in /usr/new/lib/news whereas 2.11 lives in /usr/lib/news. When I installed it loked as if nothing got created. I'm just about ready to scrub everything, and start again from scratch, the only question is what are the steps (The 2.11 docs seem to assume that you have everything in place). So lets just assume I do a rm -rf /usr/new/lib/news /usr/spool/news/* This should clean everything out real quick. Now I recompile all the 2.11 sources, but where do I go from here. Last time I tried it, the install failed to create /usr/lib/news, and I'm a bit cautious to try doing it all by hand when I don't really know what I'm up to. All help gratefully received. -- dg@lakart.UUCP - David Goodenough +---+ | +-+-+ ....... !harvard!xait!lakart!dg +-+-+ | AKA: dg%lakart.uucp@harvard.harvard.edu +---+
