I have a line in my sys file like this: maps:world,comp.mail.maps:F:/usr/spool/news/maps/comp.mail.maps/Batch But only some of the map updates make it into the file. For example, here are two entries that came in contiguously. One made it in and one didn't. I'm running news 2.11, patchlevel 14. From /usr/lib/news/log: Oct 17 23:58 apple received ng comp.mail.maps subj 'UUCP map for u.usa.il.1' from uucpmap@rutgers.rutgers.e du (UUCP Mapping Project) Oct 17 23:58 apple Cancelling 09/27/88 08:00 comp.mail.maps/2171 Oct 17 23:58 apple received ng comp.mail.maps subj 'UUCP map for u.usa.in.1' from uucpmap@rutgers.rutgers.e du (UUCP Mapping Project) Oct 17 23:58 apple Cancelling 10/08/88 10:59 comp.mail.maps/2300 Oct 17 23:58 apple sent to maps, ames Here are the headers of the two articles.
