RPM is a fun place, Wednesdays are the best night (no cover and not too
crowded) and there are relative quiet sections in the back where you
can even talk.
It's a zoo on weekends, however, and there's at least a $6 cover (could
be 10, but I don't go on weekends).

It depends on what kind of "party" we want... somewhere you can *talk*,
somewhere with good dance music (define good :-), someplace with good
food [start with dinner and go from there? :-]

Carnations are going too far...
If it was dinner first, we could reserve a table under some name that 
everyone would know to ask for (eg the ONSLAUGHT party -- that's the
Ontario Net Singles' Laudable Attempt to Undertake Gratuitous Heathen
Times :-)
