I am not looking for a 4GL! We have an application that needs to be ported to a multiuser Unix environment on a mix of machines. The application is currently written using Btrieve. So what we would really like is something like Btrieve that can run first on Sun-3's, but soon we will be supporting another Unix box, so ideally we can buy source code and modify for our other box... So they can be somthing like binary-tree driven dbm... One more time, I don't want to see a 4GL with bogus C access like it was an afterthought... I need to have the library be the primary product. I did hear something about Informix C-Isam code, but they were too busy pushing their 4GL to let me see the C-Isam stuff... Please respond to me directly and if there is enough interest I will be more than happy to post a summary to the net. Thanking you all in advance!
