Bates University of the Pacific For those who are thinking about buying the Zoom modem, which sounds like an OK deal at $169: A friend of mine purchased one of these at a local computer show for either $109 or $119 (no cable or software, but a cable should only be about $15 and Kermit is free). The dealer selling them had purchased bunches of the things and was running a special for the duration of the show. You too may be able to find a better price than $169 if you look. (By the way, his modem seems to work just fine). Wade Blomgren wade@sdacs.ucsd.edu
