Well, it seems the Trailblazer's PEP mode *can* be used in a multiplexing setup! I have not played with the hardware, merely done some checking around. Here are the numbers: "Usual" MUX environment: $1800 2 4-port MUX'es $3200 2 v.32 synchronous modems $ 200/month leased line Using TB+ $3200 2 5-port MUX'es $4400 2 TB+'s no monthly leased line charge The folks with the multiplexers who have actually run them using TB+'s are: Backus Data Systems (408) 279-8711 The fellow I spoke with at Backus was Jim Tramalini. He seemed to know what he was talking about. The prices above are obviously going to be different for each site...especially the TB+ prices if you got yours already in the special 2-for-1 deal from Telebit.
