Unfortuately, my lifestyle is far to erratic for anything based on a clock. I have heard of a thermostat that can be called on the telephone and told to change its setting. This would be ideal because then I could call it when I leave work and things would be warm before I get home. Does anybody have any pointers to such a device? How stable is this technology? I would hate for it go hairwire on me. On a related topic, does anybody know of a telephone front end that I could stick more than one phone controlled device on the same phone line? I have heard of a device that sits between the phone jack and the answering machine. Normally it operates in pass-through mode but after the phone is picked up (typically by the answering machine) it listens for a command code which allows you to connect to some other device instead. thanks in advance!
