I am tring to apply ediff18.50-51 and then ediff18.51-52 to my
18.50 distribution (which just came out of the package).  My 
question is, using patch version 2.x (latest), how do I invoke
patch such that it will properly patch everything.  Where do
I place my ediff file?  When I tried using just:

patch -p <ediff18.50-51

it rolled along and then bombed out on '***' unexpected.  Any ideas?
By the way, I am running SCO Xenix 2.2.2 (386 version) with the
Development System.
