I have heard about the Microsoft FORTRAN, but if you have a favorite compiler, I would VERY much appreciate your your comments. I will post to this news a compilation of the recommendations. I will also try to send to each person who responds to this request the compilation. I write "try" since sometimes I can get mail, but can't respond to it. My definition of a best FORTRAN compiler is ease of use and compatability with FORTRAN77. I intend to use it to develop and debug FORTRAN programs on my PC before compiling and running them on the mainframe. However, if you have a better definition or a suggestion, please feel free to offer it. It will be most welcomed.
