The same statement may be made for each of the other programming languages currently in vogue (if this doesn't come about then CS will have not progressed much beyond today's state of the art, and I don't think that will be the case). If you come out of school knowing Pascal, C, Ada (at least some), and Lisp (at least some) you should be employable and able to learn new languages as they come into existance.
