John Warnock of Adobe Systems was on stage. One guy on the floor asked him when will be the first PostScript film recorder available. John answered "soon". The audience was really upset. John received a lots of boos and yelling from the audience. To my understanding, he has been saying the same thing since day one. The audience was blaming Adobe Systems for the lack of a film recorder due to their expensive license fee. I am new to this field, but based on what I heard from the conference, there was NO postscript film recorder in the market as of mid September,88.
