   X WINDOWS VERSION 11 RELEASE 3 AVAILABLE ON 1/4" CARTRIDGE TAPE

The X Consortium and the MIT Laboratory for Computer Science
officially announced RELEASE 3 of X Windows on October 27.  MIT's
Software Center distributes this release in 1600bpi UNIX tar format
tape reels only.

MEI announces the availability of X Windows Version 11 Release 3 on
1/4" cartridge tape (suitable for use with the standard tape drives of
several popular workstations [Suns, RT's, etc.]).

The tapes are written in standard UNIX tar format.  Other formats
(cpio, etc.) may be available depending upon demand.
