We build general-purpose Unix based systems with 2..20 processors. Right now that's 40MIPs (NS32332), around the first of the year around 150MIPs (NS32532) and we have a DARPA contract to deliver a 1000MIPS version of our system in the near future (regular machine is called the Multimax and the future machine is the Ultramax or maybe they changed it to the Gigamax.) We should have "hundreds" of MIPS in our mainline product in a year or so (Moto 88K.) These are pretty big systems but not unaffordable, the top of the line with gigs of disk is maybe $500K, same price as some typical time-sharers with a few MIPS.
