Message-ID: <8810262158.AA22172@jade.berkeley.edu> Date: 25 Oct 88 19:46:57 GMT Article-I.D.: jade.8810262158.AA22172 Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Reply-To: Brian Jay Gould Organization: The Internet Lines: 22 I have heard that "switched 56kbps links are supported by IBM FEPs with release x.x of NCP." Is this true? What kinds of links are supported? PU4-PU4? PU4-PU2? Multidrop? Is the link initiated dynamically, based upon some preset criteria (long transmission queue), or must the link be initiated with v,net act? What dialing support is available? ISDN only? Is the link part of or a unique transmission group? I have been out of the SNA world for a few years, but I have a strong interest in switched digital circuits. I'll start reading the group, but direct replies would be appreciated as well.
