As far as I know, no one has implemented RFC 1053 to date, not even me.
*If* enough functionality comes to be added to IDEA 16, it may be a moot point.

The CR-NUL vs. CR-LF problem is dealt with in the pending Host
Requirements RFC by specifying that hosts should be prepared to accept
either.  That seems adequate, doesn't it?
