We used to guarentee 100k available on a 256k system when running basic. However much of the new robustness required heavier memory usage by the system utilities. Maybe as much as 16k more. This might put a few games over the edge on 256k systems. I made the comment that if there were any 256k systems left out there we should send them a free 256k expansion card (maybe 10?). It would be much less work, lead to fewer problems in the software. I don't think they sent out any free 256k ram boards, but it is true we don't really support the old 256k chip ram configuration anymore. -- Dale Luck Boing, Inc. {uunet!cbmvax|pyramid}|!amiga!boing!dale Although I do contract work for Amiga-LosGatos, my opinions probably don't represent those of Commodore or its management or its engineers, but I think the world would be a better place if they did.
