Dunno about the sun, but if you grab an asteroid with your tractor beam and DON'T collect it, it will replenish your energies. Some asteriods contain more power than others, but when they're sucked dry they'll explode... The control isn't easy, but manageable. The really interesting point about this game is the fact that it was shown first under the name Zarch (sp?) on the Acorn Archimedes. I still have that voice from this years CeBIT in my ears who told me that "A game like this will never be possible on the Amiga...". Have five nice weeks...
