This device is meant for the Amiga 1000, and installs between the keyboard and the Amiga. When you reset the machine, it automatically types a DATE command followed by the current date and time to automatically set the system time on startup. It works well and does not interfere with your normal startup-sequence. It also contains 7K of RAM to hold keyboard macros. You can define a keyboard macro (including mouse movements) and assign it to a key. It also contains many popular key macros (such as "DISKCOPY DF0: TO DF1:") stored in ROM. The Timesaver unit also contains a history buffer, offers command-line editing (alright, so that's not a big deal if you have ConMan or the 1.3 NEWCON:) and offers a security feature that locks up the keyboard until you type a four-letter password. All features of the TimeSaver can be disabled or enabled with a few keypresses, so it doesn't get in the way of software or games which need to access the keyboard in strange ways. I'm asking $40 for the unit. The reason why I am selling it is that I just bought a Microbotics Starboard II + SCSI interface, and it includes a battery-backed clock as part of the package. Now I need money to help pay my Visa bill. If you are interested, send me email. --M Michael Portuesi / Information Technology Center / Carnegie Mellon University ARPA: mp1u+@andrew.cmu.edu BITNET: mp1u+%andrew.cmu.edu@cmccvb UUCP: ...harvard!andrew.cmu.edu!mp1u+ "my friends say she's a dumb blonde, but they don't know she dyes her hair"
