This sounds like a bad connection or sodier joint that you knocked lose when you moved your system. Thermal expansion probably causes the connection to break after your amy gets warm. I'd suggest that you ground yourself and reseat every chip that is socketed. You could also do this with the circuit board that is supported above the main board (kick start board?). Remember to remove the screws first! > Now, I have no problems with > the memory going off line, but I still get lots of gurus after the machine > has been running for a few hours. How do you know? If the memory goes off line, after your system is depending on it, it will guru. Remove your memory board and see if it still gurus after it's warm. If not then it's probably your memory board or it's connection with the Amiga. (The latter is more likely). I have a lot of problems with a memory on the expansion connector. Cleaning the edge connector by rubbing it lightly with a clean pencil eraser seems to help sometimes. > I ran the mem test that came with the > starboard (after tracking down a copy of KS 1.1 :) and the 2M board > tested ok according to their test program. Did you run the test after you started having gurus, when your computer was warm? Leave it run for a few hours (or days). One more thing - Make sure you fan is still running. On the 1000 it's so quite you probably wouldn't miss it if it stopped. > If hardware, what's the most probable problem? Should I try tracking > it down further, or haul it to the techs at my dealer? Just like working with my fossils :) I've got one too. (An Altair 8800B) It makes you appreciate the Amiga!
