Long live customer > support at Apollo! I hate to get in a snit before verifying this statement, but if true, it is really upsetting. It may not be a lot of money (until you multiply by 40) but the philosophy is all wrong. At least you knew that if you wrote a graphics program, another Apollo site would be able to run it (already not true with 3D GMR). This is one of the successes of the Macintosh. With the graphics unbundled, other sites will more often choose to use different underlying graphics packages-- leading to incompatibilities between sites, less software compatibility, and therefore less software. Besides which, you don't find out you don't have it until you need it. Then it is months before we can get it through our purchasing system.
