The latest version of Backup II is 1.1.1 -- so if you're using something earlier, upgrade now. The "File expected" (or whatever) error I've seen come up when Backup II was unable to open and read a subdirectory file. If the DIR file is read-locked (meaning, the read access permission is denied) this can occur. Damaged DIR file structures can also cause this (run Bredon's Mr.Fixit to hunt these guys down). Actually, anything that prohibits Backup II from opening and/or reading the DIR file will end in that error message, and that could be a number of things. --Morgan UUCP: crash!pnet01!pro-sol!mdavis ProLine: mdavis@pro-sol ARPA: crash!pnet01!pro-sol!mdavis@nosc.mil MCI Mail: 137-6036 INET: mdavis@pro-sol.cts.com APE, BIX: mdavis
